Dr. Marc Smith is the Chief Social Scientist Connected Action Consulting Group, who has taken social network analysis to a whole new level.

He has created a free application to visualize social media, called NodeXL (see an example of one of the graphics, left). He could be called a social physicist or computational social scientist, but is probably best described as a social cartographer.
